My 100th Post!

I am going to celebrate my 100th post by telling everyone 100 things about me. (I was going to post 100 funny things said in my classroom, but sadly I can't remember all of them so it was going to take me FOREVER to get to 100.)
1. I am the youngest of five kids.
2. I have had the same style of CTR ring for 8 years.
3. I have an obsession with stars. When I go outside at night I can't help but look up. In the winter I look for Orion, in the summer Cassiopeia.
4. I love books. I had to rearrange my room just to accommodate the books I have here. (I have more stored at my mom's house.)
5. My favorite author is Jane Austen.
6. My favorite books are Number the Stars (children), and Pride and Prejudice.
7. I hate making people unhappy.
8. I hate pickles. I hate them so much that when they have been put on the lettuce I can't eat the lettuce. I can still taste the pickle.
9. I teach 6th grade. (I never said they were things you wouldn't know.)
10. I am LDS.
11. I can't stand silence.
12. I think I am shy.
13. I am a little gullible. (right Becky?)
14. I constantly have music playing.
15. I drove my old roommate nuts because I would watch a movie. But, while I watched, I would play games on my phone, read, or sleep.
16. I have had 7 roommates in 5 years.
17. I can play the flute, oboe, and piano.
18. My niece, Kaitlyn, shares my birthday.
19. I like my birthday month.
20. My mom had hopes that I would be born on Valentine's Day. I am now happy I wasn't.
21. Family rumor is that I would have been named Bambi if it wasn't for my sister Jen. She took the time to look in name books and found the name Allison.
22. I have 29 kids in my class this year.
23. I think I have ADD, more than my students do.
24. I have niece that looks like she could be my sister.
25. My oldest nephew is 17 (almost 18).
26. Sometimes all I feel like I do involves school.
27. My roommate thinks I am funny.
28. My mom told me once she thought I was autistic when I was little. I guess out of the five of us, I picked up on the pattern that days move one day on the calendar in a year. (ex. January 15th is a Thursday in 2009, it will be on Friday in 2010.)
29. My friend Laurel and I made a spook alley every year. And sadly it was one of the things that contributed to the ending of our friendship.
30. I love to travel.
31. I have been to 31 states.
32. I was never the ideal student. If I was in my class I would drive myself crazy. I was capable, but not willing to show it to the rest of the world.
33. When I get telling a story, I will jump from side story to side story and back to the original story just to get sidetracked again. Sometimes I forget where I was going with it and sometimes I have no problem. It drives my mom nuts. She has learned to deal with it though.
34. Purple. (Need I say more.)
35. I used to think I would get married on June 21, 2002 (I would have been 20.)
36. I still want to get married on June 21. It is the first day of summer.
37. My favorite subjects in school were English and Social Studies.
38. My favorite subjects to teach are Math and Science.
39. I hate going on dates.
40. I would like to have more dates.
41. I love my cell phone.
42. My favorite drink is water.
43. I love to eat at Costa Vida. I eat there so much most of them almost know me by name.
44. My favorite thing at Costa Vida is Sweet Pork. Sometimes I just walk up and say the first dish that comes to my mind with Sweet Pork.
45. My favorite bands are The Fray, and The Beatles.
46. My favorite song is. . . . well it changes, I think right now it is 1,2,3,4 by Plain White Ts. Or You Found Me by The Fray.
47. I joined a gym.
48. I am right handed, but I sometimes wish I was left handed.
49. My roommate thinks I am obsessed with the color brown in my wardrobe. I would have to agree.
50. I have to have my movies alphabetized.
You're half way there. . . keep going.
51. My school is spoiled. We have SmartBoards in every classroom as well as projectors.
52. I love Gilmore Girls. However, I don't watch very much because my roommate always seems to be watching it. And when I am just getting in the mood to watch it again she is also in the mood to watch it.
53. I like my job.
54. I have the best roommates, and I always have had the best roommates.
55. I don't have any problem with staying up half the night to finish a book. I usually stay up until 2 a.m. I have stayed up until 4 before.
56. I am constantly dizzy. It is so common for me I don't notice it half the time.
57. When I was in high school I became obsessed with turtles.
58. I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 16.
59. I love California. Especially San Diego.
60. I became a better speller when I started teaching.
61. I also became more punctual when I started teaching.
62. I hate disruptions that I didn't cause.
63. I teach music, and I don't like it.
64. At this moment, I am cold.
65. My niece (the one who looks like me) made a purple scarf and the first person she thought of giving it to was me.
70. I am addicted to Facebook.
71. I have a copy of the movie Bridge to Terribitha and I have owned it since it came out. I have yet to open it. I have seen it. I love it, I just don't want to cry over it, again.
72. My favorite Winnie-The-Pooh character is Eeyore. My family used to tell me that I matched his personality. I don't think I do anymore. But, I think I did at the time.
73. Right now I am listening to a song that I don't think I should. But, I like it too much. It is "Gives You Hell" by All-American Rejects. I just think if someone ever breaks up with me I will want to sing it at the top of my lungs.
74. I don't have network TV at my house. (I say this to my students and they are amazed I can live without it.)
75. I want a Nintendo Wii.
76. In my teaching world I can't wait until next school year.
77. I don't think I know how to flirt. (Maybe that is why I am not married.)
78. My eyes change color. They are green, blue, or gray. I really would rather have them be green.
79. I also have no words to describe my hair color. I would say it is dark blond. I have been told it is brown. And one of my students said it was red today.
80. I drive while talking on my cell phone.
81. I am a fan of Starbucks Carmel Steamers. I've told this to my students and one of them brought me one once.
82. My teaching style is very noisy.
83. Our principal got sick in September and we had an intern come and work at our school for a month. He is coming back.
84. I like to ride bikes.
85. I LOVE to drive. I like being in control and I find it relaxing.
86. My favorite drive is Trappers Loop.
87. When I walk into my apartment I make announcements. I guess I have to make sure everyone knows I am there.
88. I miss last years class. They were talkative and able to get me off subject, but so much easier than this year.
89. My best friend is my sister, Becky.
90. I like having short hair, but I miss the long hair pull back options.
91. I like to vacuum.
92. I don't mind cleaning the bathroom.
93. I don't like grocery shopping. I think that is what I get for working at a grocery store for 8 years.
94. Swings make me sick.
95. Most of my movies are "chick flicks"
96. I am pretty hard on myself.
97. I love Boston and D.C. and I want to go back soon.
98. I like living in Utah, but I think I want to move out of state for a while.
99. I regret that I didn't go on a mission, even though I know I made the right choice in not going.
100. I like wearing my school clothes, but I look forward to wearing my t-shirts and jeans on the weekends.

CONGRATULATIONS! You made it to the end. I hope you enjoyed learning about me. It was random a lot like my personality. I promise, I will get some of the random, funny things said in my classroom posted soon. There are some gems.
