The Making of History

No matter what political party you follow, or who you voted for you should be excited about the history that is in the making today. I get the joy of watching the inauguration of the first African American President with my 6th graders, not only watching, but teaching.
I'm excited to see if the changes Obama wants to make for our country is going to happen. There were a lot of them, and I hope he can do what he wants to do.
This picture is Federal Hall in New York where George Washington gave his ignagural address on April 30, 1789. I kept thinking about the difference between politics today and politics when the nation was first started. Here is a link to President Washington's address.
I am very grateful I live in a nation that can have a very peaceful change of power. What a blessing it truly is.
