This weekend was Stake conference. We got a new Stake Presidency. Our presiding authority was Elder Condie. I've had a lot of things on my mind lately about my life and how it is going, and where everything is going. And I prayed this weekend to receive some guidance during conference. First thing: our former president was really good at getting those who spoke/speak to not use their talks and just talk from the spirit. I felt that this whole conference was all those kinds of talks. I know some of them were prepared and they did speak from them, however, it was exactly what I needed to hear. Every session. It was all very uplifting.
Second: Elder Condie. Is amazing. He has a way of making you laugh and then bring it right back to the spiritual. He spoke at the institute two months ago, and his talk was amazing. But, what I really like about Elder Condie is this talk: Claim The Exceeding Great and Precious Promise. He gave it in October 2007. At that time that talk was an answer to my prayers. I was in the Conference Center as he spoke and I knew it was the Lord speaking to me. Well, today he quoted from his own talk, "And just as God remembered Rachel, God will remember you." I knew then the Lord is listening to me and he knows me. It reminded me of so many great and glorious truths I have learned in the past year and a half. I took the time today to listen to the talk again, while I read it too. (I put it on my iPod back in 2007.) I learned new things and I felt the same feelings I felt when I first heard it. The Lord truly does answer prayers and He loves each of us so much. I think it is so wonderful and I am so grateful to know he is aware of me while my life turns upside down in the next few months and I get to get used to so many new things. The Lord is aware of me as an individual and it is wonderful!

I don't know you if you have already read this or not, but you should read "Daughters of God" by S. Michael Wilcox. One of my favorite books. He does a chapter on each of the women in the scriptures and it is amazing!
